Sou péssimo pra saber quem são os donos daquelas frases de efeito que sempre tento seguir ou falar em certas ocasiões...
Aqui, aprendi muito, vivi muito. Aí vem um outro filósofo famoso (deve ser, já que me lembro da frase dele, sei lá, melhor não arriscar o nome do moço) e diz: "Só sei que nada sei...
"Puta merda meu !!!" Como assim? Tudo nessa vida é uma lição para se aprender, esse conhecimento, mesmo que seja pouca coisa com relação a tudo que se pode aprender, nunca deve ser comparado a nada !!! É algo muito valioso, algo nosso que ninguém pode tirar, algo que nos dá nosso valor, nos faz diferentes, nos faz especiais...
Onde quero chegar com isso? Vixe, realmente não sei, talvez (quase certeza) eu só queria escrever esse texto para passar o tempo, pelo menos estou aprendendo com isso...
Acho que vou aproveitar e postar isso no meu blog, pois penso que muitos dos melhores textos já escritos não foram planejados, mas alguns que surgiram do nada, que as vezes parecem ter saido da alma do autor, ou que parecem mostrar melhor as opiniões e expressam melhor os sentimentos do autor. É claro que também podemos ver muita porcaria instantânea por aí !!! :P
Está decidido! Colocarei esse texto no meu blog, quem sabe o povo não acha nisso tudo uma lição de moral e essa se torna uma postagem legal?

Eu tenho que discordar quando você diz que os melhores textos são os que surgem do nada. Existem sim grandes textos escritos no calor do momento, mas a maioria vem de muito pensamento e suor. É aquela velha estória: 1% de inspiração e 99% de transpiração =)
Esses dias venho pensando... tá na hora de ouvir os conselhos que a gente ouve a vida toda e nunca levou a sério. Crie suas próprias frases de efeito.

Agora refletindo a respeito da frase do Sócrates, eu divido o desespero desta frase: cada vez que eu aprendo uma coisa, leio um livro diferente, descubro que ainda tem um monte de coisas que eu não sei...

eh amor, tb sou obrigada a discordar de vc quanto a frase. Os seres humanos tÊm o grande defeito de acharem que sabem tudo de tudo e nao eh assim. Concordo com a sua cunhada, a cada livro que eu leio, a cada revista, a cada aula na facu (principalmente!) que eu assisto me sinto às vezes a pessoa mais burra do mundo pois nao sabia as coisas que esses meios me informaram e nao sei mais um monte. acaba sendo até estressante! eheheh
e sabia que Sócrates foi preso indiretamente por causa dessa frase? Ele saiu procurando a pessoa mais sábia que ele, segundo ele por um pedido de Deus, e quando nao achava falava para a pessoa que ela nao era sábia pois se julgava sábia, e única coisa que você podia saber com certeza era que nao sabia de nada. Acabou que as autoridades da época o condenaram por ficar espalhando discórdia e heresias e atraindo os jovens com as idéias "diferentes" dele. moh dó!

"Conhece a ti mesmo", a célebre frase inscrita no pórtico do Oráculo de Delfos, em grego, "gnothi seauton" (γνῶθι σεαυτόν), em latim, "nosce te ipsum". Ela na verdade é o outro lado da mesma frase de Sócrates, "só sei que nada sei", que a cunhou justamente após visitar tal Oráculo.
Sócrates, como todo ser humano, teve também uma vida com algumas controvérsias. No entanto, como não escreveu nada, só podemos conhecê-lo através de três autores da Antigüidade Clássica, dentre os quais Platão parece ser o mais confiável. Assim, a figura histórica dele é cercada de certo mistério. Por conta do que tenho contra Platão, tenho algumas ressalvas contra Sócrates, mas sou obrigado a reconhecer que nesta frase há algo interessante.
Pode ser que Sócrates tenha exagerado um pouco, como você sinaliza, em comparar tudo o que ele aprendera ao nada. Mas isso tem um sentido, como a Danielli falou um pouco aí em cima. A ignorância é tida por algo ruim, porque para Sócrates, o saber, a ciência e a virtude eram a mesma coisa. Mas a partir do momento em que as pessoas aprendem algo, tendem a se acomodar e deixam de aprender mais, deixam de pesquisar. Passam a ignorar novos conhecimentos, e passam a ignorar que os ignoram. E essa é a pior das ignorâncias, porque faz com que não se progrida. Ao comparar o que sabia ao nada, Sócrates se obrigava a sempre manter sua pesquisa, que necessariamente partia de si próprio. Ou seja, ao reconhecer que ele era ignorante, que ainda precisava saber de muitas coisas, ele precisava conhecer melhor a si mesmo, que é um exercício que passa por conhecer os outros, e que termina por nos dar a medida de um novo conhecimento e do que falta aprender. Existe uma dialética oculta aí. Resumindo: ao assumir que não sabia de nada, ele se obrigava a aprender sempre, e a se conhecer sempre mais.
E concordo com a maioria sobre o textos de supetão. A Bibi trouxe a frase do Thomas Edison, e ela dá toda a medida dos limites do romantismo. Nossa sociedade romântica desvaloriza muito a razão num plano individual. Mas para nos superarmos, é preciso não abrir mão dos recursos que temos, sejam eles a razão ou emoção.
